A CREWKERNE man has been ordered to stand trial at Taunton Crown Court accused of an offence of assault on another male.
Lee Anthony Lehmann, 24, of Severalls Park Avenue, appeared before Somerset Magistrates, sitting at Yeovil.
He was charged with assaulting Brett Paul, causing him actual bodily harm during an incident at Yeovil on May 29.
After hearing details of the alleged offence the magistrates said the case was so serious that it must be sent to the crown court to be dealt with.
Magistrates adjourned the case until August 24 when the defendant must appear at a preliminary hearing at Taunton and in the meantime he was given unconditional bail.
