Businesses across Somerset are invited to a special networking event in Midsomer Norton.

The Somerset Chamber of Commerce is hosting a dedicated networking lunch on June 13 to connect businesses in the immediate vicinity and across the county.

It follows the closure of the Somer Valley Chamber of Commerce, whose remaining funds were given to the Somerset Chamber to ensure continued support for local businesses.

Businesses in specific postal code areas will be eligible for a 25 per cent discount on their lunch tickets, as well as a 20 per cent discount on a year’s membership to the Somerset Chamber of Commerce.

The organisation's chief executive, Emma Rawlings said: "We are sorry Somer Valley Chamber of Commerce has been wound-up, but we would like to reassure businesses in the area that they can still receive help and support through us, the county chamber of commerce."

The networking lunch runs between 12.30pm and 2.30pm, and details are available from Somerset Chamber of Commerce.
